Classes are taught in English, Punjabi or Hindi, but the freight vocabulary stays in English — load board, rate confirmation, BOL, detention — because that is what brokers say on the phone. You learn the concept in the language you think in, and the words you will actually use.

What You Learn, Week by Week
Training is one-on-one, so the pace follows you. Most students finish in three to four weeks while working or running a truck.
- Week 1 — Freight fundamentals and your own setupHow freight moves between shippers, brokers and carriers, and how a lane gets priced. Choosing your business structure, registering your LLC, and planning routes around the Valley.
- Week 2 — Software, load boards and finding freightDAT and Truckstop load boards plus Awahe's proprietary dispatch software — posting, matching, tracking and documenting a load end to end. Broker calls and rate negotiation on live freight.
- Week 3 — Contracts, compliance and getting paidDispatch service agreements and where liability sits. Building a carrier packet brokers accept. Invoicing, bookkeeping and factoring. IFTA, Clearinghouse and the FMCSA rules that touch dispatch.
- Week 4 — Live practice lab and certificationYou dispatch on live load boards with your instructor beside you, then sit the exam and earn your Awahe Academy certificate.
After class ends: three months of mentorship and a full year of access to your recorded materials.
Job Placement and Starting Your Dispatch Business
This is independent truck dispatcher training, so it answers the question most students arrive with: how to start a truck dispatch business, or land a dispatch role from home.
Launching your agency. Registering your LLC, writing your dispatch service agreement, building a carrier packet brokers accept, and setting up invoicing. Your first carrier is usually someone you already know, and we work through that during mentorship.
Landing a role. Truck dispatcher training with job placement support: a resume dispatch employers respond to, interview preparation on load boards and rate negotiation, and introductions in our carrier and broker network.

We are a truck dispatcher school serving the whole Central Valley. Students drive in from Fresno, Madera, Tulare and Kings counties — Clovis and Sanger across town, Madera and Chowchilla down Highway 99, and Selma, Kingsburg, Reedley, Visalia and Hanford from the south.

Fresno Dispatcher Training: Common Questions
Do I need a CDL or trucking experience?
No. Dispatching is an office job done on a phone and a computer — no CDL, no truck, no degree. Most students start with no freight background at all.
Is the certificate a license?
No. Dispatching is not a licensed profession in the United States, so no state issues one. You receive an Awahe Academy Certificate of Completion — what wins work is being able to book a load and handle the paperwork.
How do I get paid, and how fast?
You invoice the carrier once the load delivers and the paperwork is in. Many small carriers factor instead, which pays in a day or two rather than 30. We cover both.
Can I work as a dispatcher from home?
Yes. Most independent dispatchers work from home with a laptop, a phone line and a load board account. Many train at the Fresno campus first.
Do you help with job placement?
We provide placement support, not a guaranteed job: resume help, interview preparation, and introductions in our carrier and broker network. Many graduates skip the job search and dispatch for their own carrier clients instead.
What software will I train on?
DAT and Truckstop load boards, Awahe's proprietary dispatch software, and the rate confirmation, BOL and invoice templates you use daily. You work on live boards, not recordings.
